There is a big, fat, black and white cat in the neighborhood that would come around and spray our front door. Not the side of our house or porch mind you, but right on our front door. We could smell it even from inside our house.

Lori got a trap from the city, and trapped the cat. She called the city to pick up the cat, but animal control was not open at the time, so a police officer showed up. He did not know what to do with the cat, so he took the cat, drove out of the neighborhood, and released it. Of course, the cat returned.

Frank decided it was time to scare off the cat. He got a KMTronic relay, hooked the USB end to the computer that was monitoring the video camera, and hooked the other end to an extension cord powering the leaf blower on the porch.

The blower turns on for less than a second, because we do not want to wake up the next door neighbors, but it is plenty of time to freak out a cat in the dead of night. The cocky creature decided to revisit us the next night too.
